To demonstrate our commitment to the highest standards of environmentally responsible conduct, Lumentum has adopted the standards of the Responsible Business Alliance's (RBA) Code of Conduct. We believe that the industry-wide effort of the RBA is an efficient and effective way to integrate social, environmental, and ethical responsibilities into the supply chain, and are proud to announce that our recent audit shows Lumentum to be in compliance with the Code of Conduct.

Environmental impact

We continue to make progress to become a greener organization in the areas of energy use, water consumption, and solid-waste minimization. Our facilities practice continual improvement through the principles of the ISO 14001 standard as well as conforming to the guidelines of the RBA Code of Conduct.

Energy use reduction

To reduce our energy consumption and carbon footprint, Lumentum researches and implements energy-efficiency measures at our sites worldwide.

Water consumption

Lumentum continually reviews water usage at our manufacturing facilities to minimize waste.  Water conserving measures are employed in our non-manufacturing sites to reduce overall use.
