Alan Lowe has been Lumentum’s President and CEO since 2015.
Since 2008, Lowe was President of the former JDSU Communications and Commercial Optical Products business segment that ultimately became Lumentum. Under his leadership, Lumentum’s business has been transformed by focusing on the customer, investing in market-leading innovation, entering new markets such as 3D sensing for consumer mobile devices, and improving operational execution. Lowe joined JDSU in September 2007 as Senior Vice President of JDSU’s Commercial Lasers group.
Before JDSU, Lowe was Senior Vice President, Customer Solutions at Asyst Technologies, Inc., a leader in automating semiconductor and flat panel display fabs. Prior to this role, he was President and Chief Executive Officer of Read-Rite Corporation, a manufacturer of thin-film recording heads for disk and tape drives.
Lowe holds a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and Business Economics from the University of California at Santa Barbara and completed the Stanford Executive Program.
Wajid Ali joined Lumentum in February 2019.
Ali is a seasoned public company CFO with over 20 years of experience in the technology industry. He is responsible for overseeing Lumentum's overall financial operations, including leading the FP&A, Investor Relations, Corporate Accounting, Tax and Audit functions.
Before joining Lumentum, Ali was the Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer at Synaptics. Before Synaptics, Ali was Vice President and Controller at Teledyne Technologies. Prior to Teledyne, he served as Chief Financial Officer at DALSA Corp., a semiconductor company that was acquired by Teledyne in 2011. Ali also held key financial management positions at AMD and ATI, overseeing the finance functions for large business groups.
Ali holds a Bachelor of Arts and Master of Arts degrees in Economics from York University; a Master of Business Administration degree from the Schulich School of Business, York University; and CPA and CMA designations from the Chartered Professional Accountants of Ontario, Canada.
Chris Coldren has been with Lumentum since 2015.
Coldren is an experienced leader with over 25 years of domain experience in the photonics industry. He leads Lumentum’s strategy development and strategic merger, acquisition, divestiture, and partnership processes, including helping the company enter new markets and optimize existing business lines.
Prior to his current role, Coldren also served as interim Chief Financial Officer and oversaw Corporate Marketing and Investor Relations.
Coldren joined JDSU in December 2005, where his responsibilities included Strategic Marketing, Business Development, and Technology Development for its optical communications transmission product lines.
Prior to JDSU, Coldren was Director of Technology and Business Development at Agility Communications, Inc., a leading tunable laser company. He began his career at SDL, Inc. as a research scientist where he developed advanced photonic technologies.
Coldren holds a PhD and Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering from Stanford University and a Bachelor’s degree in Physics from the University of California, Santa Barbara.
Judy Hamel has been with Lumentum since 2015.
Hamel is a legal industry veteran with over 25 years of experience providing both in-house corporate counsel and client-facing legal services. She is responsible for leading Lumentum’s Legal department, including Corporate Affairs, Commercial Transactions, Trade Compliance, and Intellectual Property. She is also responsible for Facilities and Security.
Prior to Lumentum, Hamel was Senior Corporate Counsel at JDSU, which she joined in August 2012.
Prior to joining JDSU, Hamel served as Vice President of Legal Affairs at Cortina Systems, Inc., a global communications supplier of port connectivity solutions to the networking and telecommunications sector. She also served as a corporate associate at Silicon Valley law firms Cooley Godward LLP and Wilson Sonsini Goodrich and Rosati PC.
Hamel holds a Juris Doctor degree from Santa Clara University School of Law, a Master’s degree in Business Administration from San Jose State University, and a Bachelor’s degree in Economics and Finance from Southern New Hampshire University.
Grace Lee joined Lumentum in August 2021.
With over 25 years of global HR leadership experience in the high-tech sector, Lee is responsible for leading the company’s global HR organization and Diversity, Inclusion, and Belonging (DIB) efforts, overseeing all facets of its programs and initiatives.
Prior to joining Lumentum, Lee was Senior Vice President, Chief Human Resources and Diversity Officer at Cubic Corporation. Under her tenure at Cubic, Lee’s cultural initiatives led to multiple recognitions ranging from the “Top 2020 Workplaces Award” to Forbes’ “Best Employer for Diversity” in 2019. Lee was also named among the Top 50 Chief Diversity Officers in 2020 by the National Diversity Council.
Lee serves as an Independent Director on the Board of Asure Software, a human capital software and service company, where she is chair of the Nominating Governance Committee and a member of the Compensation Committee. She serves on the Dean’s Advisory Council at Cornell University’s ILR School and is Co-Chair of Evanta’s CHRO Southern California Governing Body.
Lee holds a Master’s degree in Human Resources Management from the ILR School at Cornell University, a Master’s degree in Global Leadership from the University of San Diego, School of Business Administration, and a Bachelor’s degree in Communications from the University of the Philippines.
Caroline Pan joined Lumentum in January 2023.
Pan is responsible for leading Strategic Marketing, Corporate Marketing and Communications, and the company’s Lumentum Ventures initiative to drive market expansion through breakthrough innovation.
Pan is a global industry executive with nearly three decades of experience across the high-tech, industrial, and automotive sectors. Before joining Lumentum, she was the Chief Marketing Officer for Bright Machines, a venture-backed software and robotics company that provides intelligent automation solutions for discrete manufacturing.
Prior to Bright Machines, Pan was a Vice President at Honeywell International, where she last led Strategy, Innovation, and Ventures for the company’s $7B Safety & Productivity Solutions business. She also established Honeywell’s first Corporate Marketing function and led Strategy & Marketing for their Global High Growth Regions organization.
Pan also served as Global Vice President of Emerging Markets for Hewlett-Packard’s PC and Printing division, and spent 11 years with Intel Corporation, where she held a variety of leadership roles in their core product groups and corporate functions. She began her career as a design engineer and product line manager at Ford Motor Company.
Pan holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and a Master of Business Administration degree from Harvard Business School.
Jason Reinhardt has been with Lumentum since 2015.
Reinhardt is an experienced executive with over 20 years of domain expertise in the optical communications industry. He has held numerous senior leadership roles at Lumentum, including most recently as Executive Vice President and General Manager of Lumentum’s Imaging and Sensing business unit. He has also served as Chief Transformation Officer, Chief Commercial Officer, and Senior Vice President of Global Sales for the company.
Prior to Lumentum, Reinhardt spent over 7 years at JDSU, where he was last Senior Vice President of Global Sales. He joined JDSU in 2008 as Director of Sales for North America and held additional sales and business development roles of increasing responsibility during his tenure. Reinhardt has also served as Deputy Country Director of HOPE worldwide Afghanistan (for which he still a member of the Board of Directors), Senior Director of North America Sales at Avanex Corporation, and Account Manager and Production Engineer at Corning Incorporated. He was an officer in the United States Air Force prior to those roles.
Reinhardt holds Master’s degrees in Business Administration from Babson College’s Franklin W. Olin Graduate School of Business and Early Childhood Education from Northern Arizona University, as well as a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from Montana State University.
Vince Retort has been with Lumentum since 2015.
Retort is an industry veteran with over 35 years of experience in the high-tech sector. He is currently the President of Lumentum’s Industrial Tech Platform.
Prior to this role, Retort served as Lumentum’s Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer, where he oversaw and set the strategic direction for all of Lumentum’s business units. He has been an instrumental leader at the company, having run R&D, Operations, and both the Telecom Transmission and 3D Sensing business units at various times since Lumentum’s spinoff from JDSU.
Retort joined JDSU in June 2008. He was previously Senior Vice President of Research and Development at JDSU and established a global R&D organization aligned with JDSU's technology and product portfolio for Optical Communications and Commercial Lasers.
Before joining JDSU, Retort held executive level positions in Engineering at NeoPhotonics, Seagate Technologies, and Lightwave Microsystems Corporation, with an emphasis on new product development and customer collaboration. Retort also had an 11-year career at Read-Rite Corporation, leading Product Engineering, Test Development, Failure Analysis, and Program Management.
Retort holds a Master’s degree in Biological Sciences from Stanford University and a Bachelor’s degree in Biology from West Virginia University.
Misha Rozenberg joined Lumentum in January 2017.
Rozenberg is a seasoned executive with over 40 years of experience in operations, engineering, supplier management, and quality. He is a globally recognized Lean/Kaizen Toyota Production System deployment practitioner while delivering best-in-class products and highly efficient manufacturing processes for dynamic market requirements.
Prior to his current role, Rozenberg was Senior Vice President, Engineering and Quality and Chief Quality Officer.
Before joining Lumentum, Rozenberg was a Corporate Vice President at Hewlett-Packard Enterprise (HPE), where he was responsible for global operations processes, supplier and factory metrics, and systems alignment. Before HPE, Rozenberg founded and ran a near-field communications (NFC) mobile payment company.
Rozenberg also served as Senior Vice President Operations for Flextronics, Russia Country Lead. He was also Senior Vice President and Chief Quality Officer at Solectron and Maxtor and held senior engineering management positions at Apple and Quantum.
Rozenberg holds a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from San Francisco State University.
Wupen Yuen joined Lumentum in August 2022.
Yuen is a deep technologist and established industry leader with over 25 years of experience in the photonics space. He is currently the President of Lumentum’s Cloud and Networking Platform.
Prior to this role, Yuen served as Senior Vice President and General Manager for both Lumentum’s Telecom Transmission and Datacom business units.
Yuen joined the company through Lumentum’s acquisition of NeoPhotonics, where he had been Chief Product Officer since 2018, and Senior Vice President and General Manager since 2014. From 2005 to 2014, Yuen held numerous leadership roles within NeoPhotonics, including Senior Vice President of Product and Technology Development, Vice President of Product Development and Engineering, and Director of Business Development. From 2002 to 2004, Yuen served as Chief Technology Officer of Bandwidth9, a telecommunications tunable laser company.
Yuen holds a PhD and a Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering from Stanford University, and a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from National Taiwan University. He has completed various executive education programs at Harvard Business School and the University of Chicago’s Booth School of Business in innovation, general management, finance, and leadership.
